Jill Bellinson, Ph.D.

Dr. Jill Bellinson is a clinical Psychologist and Psychoanalyst in private practice in Manhattan, where she works with children, adolescents, and adults. 

She teaches and supervises at NYIPT, William Alanson White Institute (where she received her psychoanalytic certificate), and several other post-graduate training institutes in New York City. She supervises clinical psychology doctoral students at the City University of New York, Yeshiva, and Columbia Universities.  

She is a member of the Disaster Mental Health Leadership Team at the American Red Cross.  

She consulted at a child care center for children aged 6 months to 5 years old for 15 years, and now serves as consulting supervisor at New Alternatives for Children, a child welfare agency serving special-needs families.  

She serves as Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of the American Psychological Association.  

She is Associate Editor of JICAP, a child therapy journal, and author of Children’s Use of Board Games in Psychotherapy and numerous journal articles about the techniques and challenges of psychodynamically informed psychotherapy.

 

The New York Institute for Psychotherapy Training is approved by the New York State Department of Education to provide Continuing Education Credits to Social Workers (LCSW & LMSW).
